Why a Scholarship Fund?

Lexi was a leader in her school and her community. She planned to attend the University of Florida and ultimately become an orthopedic surgeon. However, her exceptional life was cut short due to the actions of a drunk driver.

Lexi's family, friends, teachers, coaches, and teammates never want her accomplishments and character to be overshadowed by this tragedy. They want her to continue being a bright light in this world, even if she is no longer in it.

To keep Lexi's memory connected to her community while also honoring her aspiration of becoming an orthopedic surgeon, Lexi's Legacy Fund provides two scholarship opportunities:

Lexi's Legacy Fund Merit Scholarship: Awarded to high school seniors who are a part of the same community where Lexi lived, attend the same school where Lexi studied, or share the same interests that Lexi enjoyed.
Lexi's Legacy Fund Medical Scholarship: Awarded to medical students accepted to and attending the University of Florida College of Medicine. With this scholarship, Lexi can still be instrumental in helping future patients by providing financial assistance to the next generation of medical professionals, and her impact will be exponential.
